STAFF - ACCOUNTING

Dennis is responsible for all financial matters related to HRA, including preparation of financial statements, budgets and forecasts, capital expenditures, and managing the banking and other external relationships. Dennis has more than 30 years of experience in finance, accounting and administration with rapidly growing companies. He is a CPA and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.


Olga joined HRA in January 2004 and brings more than 10 years of general accounting experience. She is responsible for billing HRA clients and allocating payments to the proper projects. She also assists in reconciling project expenses when they are completed. Her attention to detail assures the Principal Investigators the trials are up-to-date and accurate.


my is responsible for making sure the administrative and project personnel are paid correctly and in a timely manner. She also assists the accounting department as time permits. Amy has more than 5 years of payroll and accounting experience. She understands that customer service extends to each and every employee that is paid.


Connie has been with HRA for more than 4 years and is responsible for processing project and general accounts payable. She graduated from the University of the East in the Philippines with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Banking and Finance.


Jackie recently joined the HRA team in June 2007. She is the purchasing agent for all projects and for HRA itself. She works with project coordinators to ensure that projects have all supplies and materials needed in order to smoothly conduct their studies. She also assists in general accounts payable, reimbursements, and processing project commitments. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. She hopes to further her educational career with a masters in Clinical Psychology.
Joey attended California State University Los Angeles.  As Staff Accountant, he is responsible for bank reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and bank transfers.  He also oversees federal and foundation grants ensuring applications and reports are completed and submitted on time.
Alena joined HRA in April 2007 works for accounts receivable and is responsible for allocating payments to the proper projects and assists in closing projects. She received a Master Degree in Management of Public Administration at University of Alexander Dubcek in Slovakia.


Maria has been with HRA for more than three years. She processes project expenses for payment, verifying the expense is appropriate for the project, in accordance with the study budget, and most importantly, the project can fund the expense. She also assists project personnel in setting up and administering patient compensation funds, including tracking patient payments and verifying they are in accordance with the study Informed Consent Forms.


Esther Leung joined HRA in November 2007 as a Project Accountant. She comes to us with 3 years of mortgage banking experience. Her professional experience encompasses being detailed in reviewing legal documents and establishing a solid financial foundation all of which will enable her to be a valuable asset to the Project Accounting department. Esther received her B.S. Degree from UCLA in General Mathematics. She looks forward to engaging her experiences to further enhance the Project Accounting department.


Katherine "Kat" Harmon joined HRA October of 2007 as a Project Accountant and is responsible for allocating payments to the proper projects and assists in closing of projects. She has over 12 years of finance experience. Kat has an educational background in Business Administration - Accounting as well as Computer Programming. Kat is also a Certified Clinical Interpreter.


Marcia Reina was hired with HRA as a Project Accountant in November 2007. Her dynamic experience has been in Taxation, Finance and Project Development. Prior to joining HRA, she was a Budget Business Technician for the division of Senior VP to USC. In addition, she coordinated budget projects with various sub departments involving administration, the development of construction phases, and provided financial management to USC Childcare Centers. Marcia; has an educational background in Finance and Economics and she looks forward to receiving her Degree in 2008. Her immediate goals include pursuing a dual Masters Degree in Policy Planning and Development.
