Ms. Vivian Ludan assumed the Pharmacist-in-charge responsibility for the Investigational Drug Services of the Health Research Association at the LAC+USC Medical Center in December 2006. Ms. Ludan oversees all investigational pharmacy services including coordination and dispensing of clinical trial medication as well as blinding and randomization, maintaining inventory and dispensing logs, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations for handling investigational drugs and meeting with clinical trial monitors. Ms. Ludan is also responsible for developing all the IDS policies and procedures. Prior to HRA, Ms. Ludan managed a retail pharmacy for Randall’s Pharmacy in Houston, Texas where she won several awards for both outstanding management and customer service. Ms. Ludan is licensed in both California and Texas as a pharmacist.
Rodrigo Sunglao is a pharmacy technician at the HRA Investigational Drug Service. Prior to working at HRA, Rodrigo was employed by Metro-Harbor as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician. At Metro-Harbor Rodrigo performed various tasks including: preparing IVs, cytotoxic medications, and unit dosing. Prior to Metro-Harbor, Mr. Sunglao participated in an outpatient externship program at Kaiser Permanente.
